
Salt Water Barramundi Portions Skin On
In the northen Indian Ocean, where the shining blue waters of the Bay of Bengal meets the Arabian Sea, sits the island of Sri Lanka; a little green pearl in this vast expanse. It is in the prisitne environment of Trincomalee Bay, on Sri Lanka’s north eastern coast, that Oceanpick’s Barramundi are carefully raised, in natural oceanic conditions, and to strict measures.
The Barramundi in the pack that you hold has been sustainably farmed, to the highest Best Aquaculture Practice standards. It has been hygienically processed, packaged, and stored under stringently maintained regulations.
How To Cook
Pan Fry
Preheat a non-stick fry pan with 5mL of olive oil to a medium heat. Remove thawed barramundi portions from packaging and cook for 3 – 4 minutes turning occasionally. Ensure barramundi is cooked all the way through or until piping hot in centre.
Oven Bake
Preheat oven to 200°C (or 180°C fan forced). Remove thawed barramundi portions from packaging, place in a baking dish and cover with a tin foil. Place baking dish in oven and bake for approximately 12 – 15 minutes. Ensure barramundi is cooked all the way through or until piping hot in centre.
BBQ
Preheat BBQ to a high heat. Remove thawed barramundi portions from packaging and rub both sides with olive oil. Place barramundi skin side down and cook from 3 – 4 minutes, turning only once. Ensure product is cooked all the way through or until piping hot in centre.
