Honey Soy Garlic Salmon with Mashed Potatoes

A timeless marinade featuring honey, soy sauce, lemon, and garlic—perfectly complementing our Ocean Chef Salmon Fillets.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Ocean Chef Salmon Fillets
  • 1Tbsp Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • 1/2 Lemon, Juiced
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • 1 Bunch Asparagus
  • 4 Potatoes, Peeled, diced
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1 Tsp Dried Parsley

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. To make the sauce, add half the minced garlic, soy sauce, honey and lemon juice. Whisk to combine, then set aside.
  2. Before frying the salmon, season with salt and pepper. Then sear skin side down in a pan with butter and oil on medium high heat. Once the salmon is golden, remove from pan.
  3. To the same pan, add the remaning garlic and stir until fragrant. Add the asparagus, season with salt and pepper, cook for an additional 2-5 miutes, until the asparagus turns a deep green. Remove form pan.
  4. Immediately add in the honey soy mixture, and simmer for 4-5 minutes or until the sauce has reduced in size.Return the salmon fillets back into the pan to coat, then simmer for a further 2 minutes.
  5. Serve on a plate with a side of mashed potatoes, asparagus and top with a few spoonfuls of sauce.
